Rodney King & Partners is a long-established and respected local law firm, serving Bristol and the surrounding area for over 30 years.

Conveyancing
We assist with purchases, sales and mortgages of domestic properties, land and flats. We do not deal with commercial properties. We act for first-time buyers, buyers and sellers, mortgagees, trustees and attorneys. We can offer fixed-price fee agreements.

Divorce, Family and Child Care
We offer advice and assistance in relation to all aspects of Family Law. This includes divorce, separation and the dissolution of civil partnerships. We can advise in respect of the financial and property elements of the breakdown or a relationship.
We act in respect of disputes concerning children, such as contact and decisions about where the child is to live, as well as other matters relating to child care. We often act for parents involved in Care proceedings.
We carry out work in relation to injunctions (Non-Molestation Orders) in cases involving Domestic Violence.
We offer religious divorces, including Talique and Get.
We act for Clients on both a private-paying and Legal Aid basis.

Criminal Defence
We represent Clients who are arrested and questioned by the Police at the Police Station. We offer free and independent legal advice under the Legal Aid scheme for Police Station cases.
We also assist Clients under the Legal Aid scheme who are subject to a benefits investigation and interview by the Department of Work and Pensions.
We represent Clients in the Youth Court, Magistrates Court and Crown Court, and also for appeals against sentence or conviction.
We regularly attend at Police Stations and Courts in Bristol, North Avon, North Somerset, Bath and the surrounding areas.
We will help a Client to apply for Legal Aid; if he or she is ineligible we are able to offer competitive rates for acting on a private-paying basis.
We cover all aspects of Criminal Law, including motoring offences, drugs, offences of violence and offences of dishonesty.

Wills, Probate and Lifetime Planning
We offer the following services: will drafting and advice on financial planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney for Property and Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare, applications to the Court of Protection for Deputyships; administration of estates and obtaining Grant of Probate or Grant of Letters of Administration (in cases of intestacy), and trusts and settlements.
We can offer fixed-price agreements in respect of our professional fees. We also recognise that our Clients may have difficulty travelling to our office, and we are therefore able to offer home visits for a nominal fee of £25 plus VAT within the Bristol area.
