Legal Aid
Rodney King & Partners Solicitors offers Legal Aid in a number of areas of law.
Legal Aid is a system set up by the Government to enable those without adequate financial means obtain equal access to the law.
In certain areas of law the Legal Aid system will pay for you to obtain legal advice and representation from a Solicitor. The advice and representation you will receive from Rodney King & Partners will be of the same high standard as if you were paying privately.
Only certain firms of solicitors are appointed by the Legal Services Commission to offer Legal Aid. We have had to pass a number of qualifying criteria to be able to offer high quality Legal Aid advice and representation to the public.
We offer Legal Aid in the following areas of law:
- Domestic abuse
- Child Care – where Social Services are involved
- Criminal Defence – (see page on Legal Aid for Criminal Defence)
Qualifying for Legal Aid
In some areas of law, everyone is entitled to Legal Aid, such as Police Station advice and representation if you are arrested. 
For family law, legal aid is only available for certain types of cases. Please contact us and we will assess your circumstances and advise if you are eligible.
If you do not qualify for Legal Aid we can still help you. We offer competitive costs in all areas of law and we can give you an estimate of costs before undertaking any work on your behalf.
